SEATTLE

pikemarket

I may be heading to Seattle this weekend! Does anyone have any recommendations as to what to eat/do/see for a 24 hour visit?

  1. Alibi Room and White Horse in Pike Place Market are two of my favorites, as is Knee High Stockings Co. on Capitol Hill. Fremont's Sunday flea/farmer's market is stellar. If the weather is nice, hop the water taxi to Alki!

  2. Eat at Delancey, Molly Moon's Ice Cream, Oddfellows, La Carta de Oaxaca, The Fat Hen, Big Mario's, Sitka and Spruce, Volunteer Park Cafe, Local 360, Skillet Diner, Le Panier.

Drink at Sun Liquor, Cha Cha Lounge, Hazelwood, King's Hardware, Forge Lounge.

Shop at Ghost Gallery, Elliot Bay Books, E Smith Mercantile.

Take the water taxi over to Alki Beach for a great view of the city, go to Golden Gardens for an afternoon and sunset, Discovery Park has some wonderful trails, kayak on Lake Washington, Gas Works Park and Kerry Park have beautiful views of the city.
